Surf Condition for 10.03.05 – Yellow October 3, 2005Posted by Leita in Today’s Surf.
(Yeah, I’m late.)
Today’s beach condition in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida. Just swirly enough for the yellow flags so watch the rip tides. Pleasantly quiet, the beaches are experiencing that lovely lull between summer crowds and snow birds. Some areas are even skinny-dipping bare (so to speak).
A little spot of tropical weather is trying to build in the Atlantic and head toward S. Florida. It shouldn’t be worrisome, but will bring up the surf a bit this week.
What is This?
After last year’s Hurricane Ivan and this year’s Dennis, most of the safety flags located at public beach accesses were blown away and have yet to be replaced. I post this daily (albeit late at times) so friends planning a day at the beach will know whether to pack a surfboard or a good novel.
